Paint.NET

Powerful image editor, comparable to PhotoShop, with menus similar to older versions of JASC Paint Shop Pro. Plugins available for a myriad of image editing fun. Windows only. CJ Favorite

Wink
http://www.debugmode.com/wink/
Wink isĀ  a powerful screen image, screen video, and audio capture and movie/presentation creator. Great for recording software demos. Similar to Adobe Captivate, though the interface is slightly less user-friendly than the Adobe product. Windows, Linux. CJ Favorite
